I have always loved Mr. Peanut ever since I first

met him in Atlantic City when I was a child. I

have painted him here as I first remember him;

a costumed figure that is at once friendly and

imposing. I find the figure of vintage Mr. Peanut

such a warm reminder of gentler times.
